"What good is it, my brothers and sisters, if someone claims to have faith but has no deeds? Can such faith save them? 15 Suppose a brother or a sister is without clothes and daily food. 16 If one of you says to them, “Go in peace; keep warm and well fed,” but does nothing about their physical needs, what good is it? 17 In the same way, faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead.  But someone will say, “You have faith; I have deeds.” Show me your faith without deeds, and I will show you my faith by my deeds.
James 2:14-18

COG Mission

Sharing the Lord’s mercy and grace
with our community through service and outreach.

Community Outreach Group (COG) is a collective of people who desire to meet the many needs in our local community.  We primarily partner with The Haven Homeless Shelter, SPiN Cafe, Mighty to Save Ministries and Olympic View Elementary School.

How FBC Serves:

  • Provide  Cleaning Supplies
  • Provide Food
  • Package and Deliver Food Supplies
  • Other Special Needs
  • Pizza Night at the Haven

Every month our team organizes requests and invites the people of FBC to purchase supplies.  Those supplies are collected and distributed where needed.  Weekly COG volunteers package and deliver groceries to families in need through Olympic View.  Another weekly event is Saturday night pizza delivery and fellowship with the residents at the Haven.

We are always open to new volunteers and for prayer partners!  Contact coordinators Chris Bahner and Jeff Riffel with questions, to volunteer, or share potential partnerships!
